What is there to do in Ross? Lots!

It all depends on what you're after really. Here we will give a quick overview of the wide variety of pursuits available.

Why not visit Goodrich Castle? A short trip from Ross is Goodrich Castle. Commanding over the passage of the River Wye are the remains of Goodrich Castle, which was started at sometime during the 11th Century. It's a wonderful day out for the family where everyone can explore and pretend to be Richard 'Strongbow' de Clare! (He was the Earl of Pembroke and Lord of Goodrich between 1148 and 1176.)

Why not visit a local town or village? – Pop in the car and take a trip to Hereford or to Hay on Wye, or strap up your boots, get a local map and take to the trails to find a small village and some absolutely stunning views from the hills and walks around Ledbury. A quick trip down from Ross is Symonds Yat; which is always worth a visit if only to see he magnificent scenery provided by these villages. They are also popular places to take forest walks, go canoeing, fishing and pretty much any else you fancy having a go at!

Westons Cider – And if you enjoy a little sup of cider, you really should visit Westons Cider. They do tours, cider sampling and of give you the chance to buy some of your very own Herefordshire Cider (as a Herefordian I can tell you Stowford Press and Westons Vintage are my favourite ciders by far). Be sure to give them a ring to find out further information, as they also do horse trailer rides and family activites.
