Via Motorway – The M50 ends at the edge of the town. The M50 motorway is accessed from Junction 8 of the M50. It is approximately 2 and a half hours from London and Manchester, 1 hour from Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff, and 1 and a half hours from Swindon.
Via Train – The closest train station to Ross on Wye is found in Hereford. Which is approximately a 30 minutes drive away. Whilst this may not seem the ideal way to get to Ross from your starting position; one added bonus to this is that a car can be hired in Hereford. Hiring a car means you have the ease and efficiency of taking a train for the long duration of your trip; but, you get a car to explore the countryside around Ross on Wye and Hereford! The trip from Hereford to Ross is a picturesque drive through the countryside, a real change from your normal city drive! Having a car with you is a real bonus as it will allow you to visit all of the treasures around the countryside that you perhaps might not have found! (Here's a tip; Stratford, Hereford, Cheltenham and Gloucester and Hay on Wye are all an easy day trip away..)
